Q. Do you accept returns?

Unfortunately, due to the custom nature of our products and the hours put in to making the plugs for you, we do not allow refunds.  However, your satisfaction is of upmost importance and if there is any problem whatsoever with your order, we will fix it.  Our goal is to be sure not one single customer ever regrets ordering from our site.  We know what it is like to order off of some random website not knowing what we are going to end up with, especially when the image of the product is a stock image and is not the exact product we will receive.  It is not the best feeling in the world.  It feels a little sketchy because you never know what you are going to get.  Please rest assured that our plugs are of the highest quality and customer satisfaction is the rock upon which we stand.  You will not be disappointed... guaranteed.

Q. Are your prices for a pair of plugs or just one plug?

Every price that you see on this website includes two plugs.  We don't have single plugs listed for sale, but if you need just one plug, please email us and we will make it happen.

Q. Which credit cards do you accept?

 We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Paypal!  If you have a card that is accepted by Paypal but not on this list, we can also accept it.

Q. What is your turn around time on orders?

Our standard turn around time is less than 24 hours but on occasion can be longer, yet most orders ship out the next business day.  Please allow extra time with larger orders (3+ pairs).

Q. Will you accept money orders for payment?

Sure!  Please contact us and we will take your order over the phone or through email.  We will start building your plugs as soon as the money order is received.

Q. Do I need to create an account to make an order?

Not at all.  Once you click the checkout button in your shopping cart, you will be given the option of signing up for an account, logging into your account, or an option to checkout without creating an account.

Q. Will I benefit from creating an account in the Exotic Plugs shop?

 Yes!  We treat our account holders very special by sending them sweet deals and coupon codes.  Account subscribers also have 24 hour access to order updates and will always be the first to know about new materials, products, and designs.  We like to give discounts to people who are interested in receiving discounts from us.  If you are one of those people, sign up for an account!  NOTE:  Your email address will never be disclosed to anyone and you will never be contacted about anything unrelated to our business.  We do not sell email or trade email lists and do not send SPAM mail.  We typically only send out only 1-2 newsletters a month.  You also must have an account to use any of the discount coupon codes you may have received.

Q. Can I trust you and your website?

 Absolutely.  All transactions including sensitive and personal information on exoticplugs.com are secured and encrypted by 128 bit SSL Technology so you can rest assured that your credit card and personal information is safe.  It is even encrypted on our side and we have no access to any of your financial information.  As for us as a company, we are not here to take advantage of you in any way.  We want to be your plug supplier and want you to come back every time you need another pair.  Although we do not allow refunds, we guarantee your 100% satisfaction.

Q. What comes with my order when I buy a pair of plugs?

Every order comes with special goodies!!!  Every pair of plugs comes with it's own velvet drawstring bag to keep them safe and warm.  Your order will also come with a 6x6" microfiber cleaning cloth to oil and clean your plugs with.  You will also receive a coupon code for free shipping on your next order and every order of two pairs or more comes with a free 2ml bottle of Jojoba oil!  We have been doing this for a while now and tried to keep it a secret so customers would be surprised when all this cool stuff showed up with their order, but we were too excited about it and had to tell you now!

Q. Do you use any endangered woods to make your plugs?

Here at Exotic Plugs respecting the environment is a priority.  We do everything we can to make sure the wood we are getting is not illegally harvested and is obtained in a respectful way.  We also try to purchase wood that has been commercially grown so what we do has no effect on the natural enviroment whatsoever.  The majority of the woods we carry are not considered endangered or rare.  In fact, all but one of the woods we carry are flourishing in the wild just as they always have.  Pink Ivory is considered by some to be a rare wood but there is no cause for concern.  Pink Ivory, as far as we understand, is ONLY harvested after it is uprooted and dead.  So even with that, we are in no way effecting the natural growth and development of the species.  We are against using woods that are endangered or illegally harvested, so you can be confident knowing that you are respecting the environment when you buy from us.

Q. I'm a vegan, can I use your plugs?

Yes!  Our plugs are coated with 100% natural Jojoba Oil which comes from the Jojoba bean.  It is a very safe non-toxic oil that is great for wood and also great for your skin.

Q. I have this cool piece of wood. Can I ship it to you and have you make a pair of plugs out of it?

Absolutely, though we cannot guarantee a pair of plugs out of the wood.  If you send us a solid piece that is free of any cracks and is large enough to make your plugs, we most likely can make it happen.  If your wood is brittle, rotten, cracked, knotty, undersized, etc., it can be rendered useless even before we start building your plugs.  We will not be responsible for any wood sent to us that is ruined during preparation.  If you are interested, contact us and we will work out the details.

Q. Do any of your woods contain toxins that can cause allergic reactions?

Depending on the person, all organic wood earrings can cause reactions no matter the wood or who you buy the earrings from.  Most people will not have any problems whatsoever with the woods sold on this site as we only sell woods we feel are extremely unlikely to cause reactions.  Reactions may not be present right away; they can take days, weeks, or even months to develop.  In any case, if you think you are having an allergic reaction to your plugs, take them out immediately and seek medical attention.

Q. Which shipping carrier will you use to ship my order?

 We use USPS First Class Mail and USPS Priority Mail.

Q. How long will it take for my order to arrive?

 After your plugs are built and shipped (turn around is 24 hours on most orders), you can expect them to arrive in 2-5 business days within the United States using USPS First Class Mail.  Choosing Priority mail will deliver your plugs in 2-3 days.  USPS Express mail usually only takes 1 day but can take longer depending on the location.  International customers can expect their plugs to arrive in 1-3 weeks via USPS International First Class Mail or 6-10 business days using International Priority Mail.  USPS Express International shipping usually delivers within 2 business days but can take up to 6 days depending on location.  You will be notified by email when your order has been shipped.

Q. I received a free shipping coupon code, can I get free Priority or Express Shipping with this?

Sorry, the free shipping coupon on the back of our business card is for USPS First Class Mail only, regardless of what shipping method you selected during checkout.

Q. How do I track my order?

 Currently the only shipping method that provides tracking is USPS Express Mail.  All other orders are shipped through regular mail without tracking or delivery confirmation.  If you must have tracking or delivery confirmation, please contact us at custom@exoticplugs.com before placing your order.

Q. My order should have been here by now and it hasn't shown up!!!

Every once in a while a package takes a few days longer than the time frame suggested by the Postal Service.  Please don't freak out.  The first thing to ask yourself is, "Did I receive a shipment notification from exoticplugs.com?"  Certain circumstances sometimes prevent us from shipping out your order as fast as we would like too.  If you requested First Class mail and day 5 has past and your package has not arrived, please keep in mind a few things.  1.  The post office does not deliver mail on Sunday so it is not included in the 2-5 business day time frame.  2.  When your package is dropped into the mailbox, many times the mail truck has already picked up at that location for the day and your package will not actually start going through the system until the next business day.  3.  The USPS 2-5 times frame is an estimate only.  I have seen first class mail take two weeks and I have seen it show up overnight, both to the same destination 2,500 miles away.  We receive many emails on "day 6" wondering what is happening and why their order has not yet shown up.  You are always welcome to contact us and ask what's up but chances are we will give you the possible reasons above and ask you to wait a couple more days.  If a few weeks go by and you still haven't received your package, please contact us and we will ship you out another order.  Priority mail seems to be a lot more reliable with their time estimate but can also take a few extra days to reach it's destination.  Regardless, if you are concerned, please contact us right away and we will do what we can to help.
